Biometric Information (optional)

If enabled, Face ID or Touch ID may be used for authentication. Biometric data is processed only on your device and is never transmitted to Proofly or third parties.

We do not sell your personal information.

How We Use Your Information

  • Create and store your Proofly inventory
  • Identify items in photos using AI-powered analysis
  • Sync data securely across devices
  • Provide customer support
  • Improve and personalize the Service
  • Authenticate your identity (including optional biometric login)
  • Comply with legal requirements and enforce our Terms

AI Training and Improvement

We may use de-identified User Content and derived data to train, improve, and evaluate our AI models supporting features such as item recognition, valuation assistance, and fraud detection. We do not sell your data or allow third parties to use it for their own commercial purposes.

Advertising and Personalization

We do not share your data with third parties for their advertising. We may use your information to personalize features or in-app promotions within Proofly.

Third-Party Services & Data Processing

We use trusted third-party cloud infrastructure providers to store data, process images, host backend systems, and support features such as AI-powered object recognition. These providers may temporarily process your content only as needed to deliver the Service and must follow our privacy and security requirements. All transmitted data is encrypted in transit, and uploaded images are stripped of location metadata before analysis.

  • Your data is removed from active systems within 24 hours
  • Encrypted backups are purged within 30 days

  • Your data is retained while your account is active
  • Deleted items are purged within 30 days
  • Internal backups maintained only for operational continuity
  • De-identified data used for analytics or AI training may be kept indefinitely

Children’s Privacy

Proofly is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and we delete such information if discovered.

International Users

If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S. We use contractual and security safeguards to help protect data during these transfers.

Data Breach Notification

  • Notify users within 72 hours
  • Notify regulators when required
  • Provide incident details and remediation steps

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. When we do, we will update the “Last Updated” date and notify you if changes are material. Continued use of the Service after updates means you accept the revised policy.
